Passenger
carriages
Alan Keef Ltd are able to build carriages to almost any level of sophistication.
This can range from a basic manrider for, say, a mining operation,
to a fully enclosed and fitted carriage complete with air conditioning
if necessary. |
 |
For
most tourist type railways a simple rugged carriage with wooden slatted
seats and a roof to keep off rain or sun is adequate and the most
economical. |
| This
can be improved upon by lining the roof, aluminium floors and the
provision of internal lighting and public address systems as here
for the Iguazu Falls, Argentina. |
 |
 |
Provision
can be made for doors and disabled access with space for wheel chairs
and helpers as here at Bicton Gardens, Devon, UK. |
| Or
if appropriate the whole vehicle can be fully enclosed as this one
for the Cavan & Leitim Railway in Ireland. |
