We have some 35 years experience to draw on, having provided passenger railways in mines, at the seaside and from Scotland to Singapore. The advice we can thus freely offer you has been gained in practical applications worldwide. Added to this is the fact that the equipment we manufacture is probably over engineered having its roots in the harsh world of industrial users. |

Whilst we have standard designs to offer it is much more likely that we shall design and build to suit your particular requirements which means that any special needs can be incorporated. In addition we have built a number of replicas of historic locomotives for our customers. |
| If you are considering a new railway there are a number of basic decisions you will have to make before any sensible projections can be made. The first of these is where is it go and what is the likely track length? Unless there are good reasons otherwise we would recommend that the track length should be no more than 700- 1000 metres. | |
| Allied to this is the question of rail gauge. The common gauges are 10¼" (260mm), 15" (381mm) and 24" (600/610mm) and in general terms the longer the railway the larger the rail gauge should be. We will happily build to any other gauge. |  |
